Opportunist

Waiting in a car park while my hospital run passengers are seen in the nearby hospital.  All my pax are interesting, but this chap was a SNCO in the Coldstream Guards and his house, which I saw briefly, had walls hung with memorabilia from years in the Regiment.

His wife was only just mobile, but she told me of a time a few years ago when her husband had wanted to attend a reunion of the Regiment and needed a lift to the station.  She had not driven a car for a while, but she got herself 6 months of practice driving with an instructor friend so that she could get her husband to the the station.  Impressive couple.
