Chocolate Bliss

Today Eli and I made chocolate peanut butter swirl brownines, courtesy of the Barefoot Contessa, in our new covection oven which I LOVE!!!

After making the brownies and putting them in the oven, Eli got to lick the beater, the best thing ever after mixing. It was very delicious as you can tell from the picture. Then he was off to play and dig with his shovel with Poppa.

When the brownies were ready I went outside to let them know.

Eli threw down the shovel, rounded the corner with a big smile on his face, kicked off his flip flops for more speed, ran into the kitchen, pulled a spoon out of the drawer and was ready to dig into the warm pan of brownies.

"These are great" he said when he saw the finished product.

After a bite, his said, "This is the best thing ever"". Baking with Eli is the best thing ever.

We heartily recommend these brownies, still warm,
with a tall frosted glass of milk!

P.S. For my fellow chocoholics and movie lovers, one of my favorite movies is Chocolat with Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche! They serve this thick hot chocolate in the movie that's to die for and I finally found it at a Christmas Party last December. Johnny Depp is great in this, as is Juliette Binoche! RENT this movie!!
