Marjorie's ramblings

The Dower House garden

This is Suzanne's garden. I love looking to see what is flowering at any time of the year.

Today these tiny cyclamen caught my eye with the backdrop of snowdrops.

I'm practising using the camera in my mobile phone, ready for a walk I'm leading in the Haltwhistle Walking Festival on May 1st. It's wildflowers and photography with an emphasis on using mobile phones.

So........this is two images blended. I first focussed on the cyclamen and then on the snowdrops. It's not 100% successful, but I had fun trying it out.

I met Henry and Christine for lunch at The Crown in Humshaugh today. The food was OK but not startling; the conversation sparkled and bubbled!

This afternoon I went to see Margret and had a good chat about her current situation. She is walking well with the walker so we went to my car and I showed her the safest way to get in and out of it.

That was successful, so it should open up opportunities for her to go to different places with friends, especially when the weather is better. Some people have taken her into Corbridge in the wheelchair, but that is very cold for her. A car would be much better and she has a blue badge to help with the parking.

She is loaning me books on Morocco and Tuscany for future adventures!
