Flo at bedtime
She moved while I was taking the picture! This morning I went to see Richard who was in his shower room/ toilet when I arrived so I waited in the corridor and while I was waiting who should arrive but his first son Owen and family from London. It was a lovely to see them and Richard was persuaded to get dressed and come down to the family room. We had tea and Richard ate the mr Kipling Bakewell slices they had brought and then his dinner was brought to the family room, fish and chips and peas of which he ate quite a lot! They also brought us a bowl of chips to share. I had bought Richard a pair of slippper socks which he tried on at the end of the visit and was very happy with. His grandsons, Monro and Campbell and their mum Diane were also there and it was lovely to spend time together. Owen and Diane both work for Dorling Kindersley in the children’s department and life is stressful at the moment but they are coping. It is the difficulty of finding a way to escape the rat race when you have two growing young men to care for, feed and clothe. They are well adjusted and articulate children so they have done a great job!
