Finally at Suncorp Stadium

Today is Matthew’s last day and they had a fun day planned.

Started off with a haircut for Matthew followed by a visit to Black Flags brewery not far from our home in Coolum. We had a fun game of Jenga there.

Quick bite to eat before heading out to Brisbane. Matthew has never been to a Costco, so we dropped in to the one in North Lakes on the way down to Brisbane.

There was lots of food stuff in there that Matthew wanted to buy, but sadly his flight has a connection tomorrow, so was no way that was going to happen.

Then on to Brisbane to do a hot wings challenge. Matthew likes super spicy food, and he’d found a restaurant in Brisbane that had a hot wing challenge which he really wanted to do.

Ben and I ordered our own but we weren’t doing the challenge! Matthew actually managed to finish them all, and Ben and I just watched in amazement!!! I had two, Ben had 4 … the rest came home with us. But Matthew got through his.

We had to race off to Suncorp as Ben has booked us to see Queensland Reds vs Moana Pacific, so Matthew could get the all Aussie experience of the rugby. And I finally get to be at Suncorp, something I’ve wanted to do for ages.

Needless to say, Matthew was quite uncomfortable for most of the game and the 1.5hr drive home! Poor thing!!!

We enjoyed the atmosphere in the stadium, inspite of the rain. Missed the commentary that you would normally have watching at home on the tele, but I did enjoy the crowd and atmosphere.

Back home and straight to bed for me as we have a very early start to get Matthew to the airport, thankfully right here in the Sunshine Coast.
