Memories

Almost 32 years ago, a young man conquered a climbing skill. He was able to climb to the seat of a kitchen chair. He thought he had just tamed a lion. His mom and dad were in the living room watching a movie.

He had figured out that his goal was this cookie jar. It was full of a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. He had figured out that from the floor to the seat was the same as to the kitchen counter. To the top of the breadbox. To the top of the refrigerator. We realized that he had been quiet for too long. We found him with the lid off this cookie jar and having consumed several of the hard earned reward.

MORAL TO NEW PARENTS: When a child gets quiet, GO FIND THEM. THEY ARE UP TO NO GOOD!!!
