Lesser spotted..
A beautiful morning, warm, sunny and spring like so we decided to walk up Goit Stock. The Goit Stock FB page said that Dippers had been spotted in the Beck, this is usually the best time to see them before the leaves are out and whilst they are collecting nesting materials. no luck today though. We'll try again.
Leaving the valley up Leech Lane we were both using Merlin to identify the birds we could here. Interestingly Chris had some different ones to me! As we crowned the hill we spotted - a Corinthian! ( Blipper Corinthian Column) Can you spot her? She was doing her scenic walk for the paper having missed her bus to join the CHA walkers today. We must have had too good a time out last night!
Passed our son's house on the way back through the village, his front garden full of bathroom detritus. We didn't call in as he was playing golf today. We'll call again to prune his rose.
Back home for coffee and Six Nations rugby.
In the extra you can see the knitted garment order for the 2 Miffys has been fulfilled. Eda the purist wanted just a plain T shirt as that is what Miffy wears. Jude wanted a dress and chose sparkly pink yarn (used for a ballet wrap cardigan). She had been threading buttons from a button jar during her stay and found the two pearl flower buttons. She brought them to me asking for them to be put on her dress like a necklace. She then decided that Eda's blue looked nice with her pink so we decided to give it a blue edge at the neck and hem! Jude the future fashionista!
Quite pleased with them considering I had to no pattern for the size of doll. They are now in the post and I will have to start the serious knitting of Grace's jumper.
