The website of the local newspaper said there would be flashes of sunshine today. Perhaps this is what it meant.

When the washing machine had finished I walked down to the shops for bread. Tesco no longer stocks the loaf that best fits my sandwich toaster and the Co-op had one left on the shelf :)

Spotted water flowing from a hydrant in the pavement on the way home. Hope that doesn’t mean the supply will go off again, though I am prepared with bottles, a large pan and a bucket filled.

In the afternoon I did just over an hour of garden tidying. Not much sunshine but a pleasant temperature for working. I achieved what I went out to do and a bit more. The rest can wait for the next warm dry day.
