Winter Trees in a Snowy Farm Field
The winter trees stand like a song half sung, unsure of the melody to come.
~Angela Abraham.
I have to admit that it's been one of those winters when we often end up not going anywhere for days on end. With a break in the weather, finally (and even then, it flurried around pretty impressively all day), my husband and I drove in to town for a very nice lunch out - steak, salad, and fries! - and then some errands.
I snapped this photo of a snowy farm field not far from the intersection of Sawmill Road (here and here) and route 550, which is a very nice rural country road that we travel often. It's mid-February and the tree line looks so wintry and bare. Here's a song for that: the Staves, with Winter Trees.
