I watched the whole game

For the first time for a very long time I made myself sit and watch the whole of the England v Scotland Men’s Six Nations rugby match.

I could have chosen less intense and heart stopping game, but there you are. England won 16-15 in the tightest of matches so depriving Scotland of a record breaking sixth consecutive win against England.

Scotland were the better in the first half, England were always playing catch up and were less fluent than the Scots. In the second half the Scots resolve faltered although England were not able to take advantage of their slight edge. Scotland scored a try just at the end and needed the conversion to win. The kicker missed, like he did with the other two tries. On such narrow margins are elation and despair separated.
