Lazy
We continued Django Unchained in Carl's Kino this morning, taking up where we'd left off yesterday evening. Our opinion from yesterday was reinforced today: this is Tarantino at his wondrous best, coming up with a unique piece of comedy/polemic in this instance. It's difficult to distribute the honours between Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio, but we finally gave the overall award to Christoph Waltz who delivers a truly memorable portrayal of the cockily ruthless and efficient bounty hunter. Add the great acting some extraordinary set pieces, wonderful cinematography and a terrific soundtrack score and it all amounts to a fantastic movie experience.
After the film it was time for me to head home. Still no buses, but the DART workers haven't yet gone out in sympathy (which they're unfortunately threatening to do), so I was able to DART to Killester and get a HailO taxi from there. Before getting the DART I spent some time around Dún Laoghaire for a bit of blipping, mostly around the East Pier and the Pavilion Centre.
I liked this couple and their choice of resting place, right beside the 'LAZY' on the life-buoy casing.
