Our Friend Nanna K … in memory of…

Karen kindly sent this tiny frog and bird she’d made home from her beloved Parker Island. She said she wanted a home for them and would I be that home. So they are precious reminders now of her warmth, artistic guidance and friendship. The elephants are reminders of how she often inserted ones in her blips. She loved elephants and I remember how she painted her bathroom walls with them. Her home was so uniquely full of her art as well as others they’ve collected . She loved lime green so I bordered this in green.
Karen was so generous with her skills and in so many other ways. She taught me how to make an accordion book so I did one of my beloved Cowboy. Her love of stripes and yellow tulips and doing art with all her grandkids as well as friends we will all remember . Her Herb really was her Prince as she called him and oh how she loved her bff Randi’s olive puffs—cheese balls. Her hands on approach with her grandchildren was something I have tried to model . I could go on and on…. Such a big hearted and kind friend . Thank you dear Karen for sharing so much and your spirit does and will live on .
