Flowers on the grave
The nice thing about putting flowers on Dad’s grave at the anniversary, the fourth, of his death is that the graveyard is full of snowdrops and emerging daffodils which makes the short walk from the Church car park a pleasant experience, especially in todays spring sunshine. As long as one dodges the day’s spring showers.
Finished all my packing and washing but V was laid low with a cold. Chris came over to pick up his coat, had coffee and bants with V and went away without it.
Frustrating not to be out in the garden on this fine mild day but I had so much to get through and had made a plan to go to Hambledon. Made the date and walnut cake that Mum likes and took that over for tea.
V roused himself to make a very good tuna, courgette and orzo dish and we watched another episode of Paradise. We didn’t have a fire as we’ve finally finished burning our chestnut fence. But there is more on order!
