Seriously?

Classic Saturday

Nice relaxing start to the day when I took my morning cuppa back to bed for the luxury of cuddles with Harry who purred in my ear for more than an hour. By the time I had accomplished all those things necessary in order to face the day,  there was really only the afternoon left. as it was gone midday when Rufus and I set off for the park. Once out and about we realized that the temperature was very mild, the wind no more than playful, and the sun's endeavors to break through the clouds mostly successful, so we decided to go further afield and walked to Brook End Gardens and beyond for a couple of hours.

Back home for an afternoon of some really great Rugby.  Well done Ireland, though I'm glad that Wales played better than in recent games, and, well, wow, what a finish to the Scotland v England game - I had to watch the last fifteen minutes through my outstretched fingers!

Bed time is delayed  tonight by the ITV4 screening of 'The Blues Brothers' (1980). What a great way to end the day.  I've seen it so many times that I am just about word perfect on all script and lyrics - and still watch it with a broad grin from start to  finish - the energy is palpable.   Classic.

Fun fact: A world record (at the time) 103 cars were destroyed in making the movie 'the Blues Brothers'
