Resting....

.....or nesting? Apparently the local swan pair have been seriously investigating the big pile of Xmas trees that are sitting by Sherriff Bank, but this is the first time I've noticed the ducks taking an interest.

I read the news from Seattle that was blipped during our evening - old blip friend NannaK is finally free from her suffering. Very sad for her family, but a great relief for her. I was pleased to read that her dog friend Maple kept vigil too.

 We were meanwhile enjoying an immensely sociable evening with visitors S and J - the food seemed to go down very well, a certain amount of wine was drunk, and the conversation ranged far and wide.
