A day out
Given the yellow weather warnings it was not the best day to be venturing out, but we had an assignation with the grandkids at the Highland Chocolatier in Grandtully near Pitlochry as part of my delayed/ongoing birthday celebrations. It was a fairly wet and windy journey up there but we arrived safely from Edinburgh and A-C and the kids arrived from Glasgow at 11 o’clock. Young Paul and I had a “guided tasting flight” with samples and explanations of some great chocolate and afterwards we all enjoyed chocolatey treats and tea/coffee and scones in the chocolate lounge. A few purchases were made to take home! Afterwards, the rain had abated a little so we had a short walk along the Tay and enjoyed some fresh air.
As luck would have it, as soon as we arrived back in Edinburgh the sun came out!
(Extra is an exhibit of a mobile phone which was accidentally dropped into the chocolate vat!)
