Raining Again

Torrential rain outside and Rusty, if indeed it was him as I had seen two identical foxes out there last night, was soaked.

Instead of taking his food away to eat it, he ate it bit by bit on the terrace  just outside the window. Nothing left! The wind was making sudden noises which spooked him a bit so his ears were nearly always up keeping a weather eye around.

I was thankful when the two foxes came in yesterday as there had been a huge debacle down the lane when another border terrier had got out of a garden and cornered a fox under a thicket of brambles which could be the fox den. Both the owners of said dog were in despair as the sounds from in there were blood curdling. Millie meanwhile on her lead seemed very unconcerned and happy to get more cuddles as the fight continued. Finally Teric the terrier was lured out and am hoping he is ok just as I was hoping too that Rusty (possibly) was going to be ok.
