In Zambia we are starting a new school curriculum - they call it a competency based curriculum!  It was supposed to begin in January but the materials were not ready!  Some classes started in January but others did not, including the Early Childhood classes!  So...last night I received the Syllabus for Early Childhood and teachers are supposed to be ready and prepared to start today!  None of the supporting books or materials have yet been printed!  Sometimes our Government decides to do something but they don't seem to consider the time frame to get things organised before they role it out!  We will see how it goes....
