No Shoes Indoors

I was interested to read that no shoes indoors was associated with Sweden because here it’s more of an Asian-Australian thing. And increasingly something that parents of young children insist on. At my niece’s house in Brisbane and my nephew’s holiday apartment in Surfers I noticed too late that everyone else had left their shoes just inside the door.

Around here the only shoes outside are work boots and trainers.
