Guardian

Thankfully the winds and rain have ceased, for now at least, because the builders are back with the triangular window. 

The quirky roofline of the extension moves from a pent design to a vaulted gable design as it passes the back of the original house. At the point of transition there is a triangle, and we decided to install an extra window there. The production of the window was fraught with manufacturer snafu, but at last it's done and fitted.

In the back garden, the pond is filling with frog spawn. This (presumably female) frog was curious and as I crouched to take the shot low across the water she popped her head up. And then, as I straightened, she disappeared again! No chance of a kiss this time, but then again that's pretty much a sexual assault now.

Given the dramatic changes that the new US dictatorship is causing in Europe it's easy to overlook the third anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. I can't image the feelings that run through that beleaguered population as they watch Putin's checkmate move. 

Who now the guardian of freedom? Brace, brace.
