Pastures New

The start of a new week and a different coffee house. This morning the French Institute in George IVBridge got my attendance vote with one of my Book group Ladies. It was surprisingly quiet and we managed 2 hours of non stop chat without feeling we had hogged our seats unduly.

It was a lovely morning, the sun shone and the world sparkled. The daffodils were beginning to nod along Middle Meadow Walk and the crocuses have taken over the verges along Melville Drive. Yesterday’s terrible wind has gone and we have had no showers ….. yet. It’s picture perfect. 

My only complaint today was hearing, when I returned a phone call I missed on Friday,  the cost of my Sewing machine repair and MOT -£292.50 with a year’s guarantee. Words fail me. I might have to take in stairs to clean, as they say.
