Growing

To help me get past the post-election-blues, P persuaded me to go for a walk. It was a dull day, and the nearby gardens didn't offer many blip motives, but I liked this garden full of snowdrops with its tiny, yellow garden house.

The election went pretty much as predicted by the polls. I had hoped against hope for some good surprises, but they didn't happen.

In the extra, I've posted a collage of Germany before 1989 - divided between the West and East - and Germany today: Divided between the conservative CDU with its huge majority in the West (in black), and fascist AfD, which took amost every single constituency in the East (in blue - the few exceptions went to the Linke or Left, on the other end of the spectrum).

The old borders are back, together with a growing mutual distrust and resentment.
