Whooper Swan

I was in the hide at RSPB The Loons again hoping for the bittern. I didn't see it, another watcher got the briefest of glimpses when it rose from the reed-beds. Hen harrier, c50 teal, wigeon, curlews etc.
Back in Kirkwall I checked the Peedie Sea and got the Iceland gull that I have photographed there before, but I couldn't get close without disturbing lots of wigeon so just settled for a distant record shot (extra). It's the pale one.
