Lovely Day

Until it wasn't! Lovely sunny afternoon (chilly but I can deal with that). And then suddenly on my walk it started to rain. Only a shower I thought. But it got heavier and so I gave up as I was getting wet and cold. Last day in Cornwall today. I drove to the lighting shop at Eastern Green to order some new lights, then to B&Q at Camborne to get more paint for Decorator Paul (the B&Q in Penzance is now a B&M (who are in financial difficulties I heard on the radio en route to B&Q)). Then back to Treen where PAT Testing Malcolm had almost finished with the news that one of the extension leads had failed. Sigh. So after the "non walk" I drove back to The Range at Longrock and picked up a replacement plus a replacement clock for the Butler's Pantry. I filled the car up with petrol yesterday and since then I've done 60 miles doing chores. This is bonkers! I'll have to top up again (4p a litre cheaper in PZ compared to the filling station at the bottom of the road). I made myself dinner - a salmon fillet with new potatoes and some beans. For once I really enjoyed the result (little point in cooking for 1). Home tomorow so must do a bit of sorting out now.
