Fare thee well

We enjoyed a Northumbrian themed feast at Bookgroup tonight - hosted by HazelH and inspired by Cuddy by Benjamin Myers.

We had scotties with kipper and chicken liver pate,  pan heggarty, chocolate cake infused with Fylte and accompanied by Lindisfare mead and followed by local cheeses and peppermint tea.  All wonderfully tasty.

We were also presented with Cuddy Beads.

Lots of chat as usual, even though our numbers were depleted with CW, RB13 and Arclight unable to attend.

We had mixed views about the book, generally positive but one person didn't finished. I was in the minority in enjoying the first section.

My trip down got off to an unusual start as the Red Arrows flew over as I walked down for the bus.  I had been hoping to glimpse them as they were due to fly past Pitlochry at 2 but I wasn't expecting them to be directly over head.
