Food miles: the pomegranate

This one travelled with me at least 3,000 miles (or km?) from India. Where it was born, I could not say. I ate it for breakfast, with a fresh batch of granola I’d made.

Around this time, Elspeth left to drive back to Perth. Next time, I’ve suggested she fly down, or get a long haul flight from Manchester. Some workmen and cranes arrived to install fibre broadband next door. Another crew arrived to start digging up another bit of pavement. I had a 10 am meeting at one of the surgeries, and after that I stayed till 2pm, then walked home and we had quiche for lunch. I’d already decided to work on Friday to make up for the fact that I wasn’t up to a full day’s work.

I’ve unpacked, done a load of washing, hung up my framed print of Dancing Ganesh the elephant god, and finished my book. I’ve only slept once. By tomorrow, I hope that my raging sore throat will have eased
