Twisted Root

Unfortunately the best light came later in the day, when taking photos was not on the agenda. I had to go out earlier and despite the flat light, I found the snow blinding and without any definition at all.

I liked the shape made by this old stump against a white background. It overhangs the bank, kept in place by twisted roots which alternate with patches of snow, making the shape more interesting.
