A touch melodramatic, perhaps…

Like most people, I was stunned when Russia attacked Ukraine 3 years ago . I have spent my whole life teaching history and politics and was brought up on stories of WWll by my family. Blackouts and bombs, going to school in gas masks .  It isn’t the world I grew up in and I assumed it was a world and a type of politics that was in our rear view mirror .
