"THERE'S A FIRE, BURNING IN MY HEART"-

Well it's been a typical Monday. I have to play 'catch up' at work because of not working on Fridays, which means sorting through all the emails and either printing them off if important information or just filing them electronically. It's not difficult but I dont enjoy staring at a computer screen.

The weather first thing was just damp but by 3pm it was as if someone opened a flood gate and the rain just fell out of the sky. Then we had thunder so by the time it stopped at about 5pm the whole village had been deluged with brown/red mud. I should explain the soil here is very rich and red, so much so that I get a reddish hue around the bath plug hole. White cars also take on a completely different colour - well you can imagine.

But I have digressed, (again), I eventually planted out the roses that we bought at the flower show in the new pots. Swept up and of course then it was time to finish off our evening meal. I had already put a large piece of pork in the oven.

So with only a blip of 2 wasps eating an apple (not in focus), we went in hunt for a photo. We didn't have to travel far as just down the road we have a recently purchased field, set aside for village use. Last year we all went to watch the lighting of the beacon for the Queen's Jubilee and it was a very exciting event, watching all the beacons across the valley, one by one, catching alight. We all stood round singing songs and it was a very magical evening.

So it is only fitting that you see the beacon brazier illuminated against the fire dying down in the sky.

Thank you for visiting and being patient with me. Have a good night's sleep and if you are suffering in any way, may you be given restoration.
Until we 'meet' again.
