Salix gracilistyla 'Mount Aso'

Delighted to see that the Willow plant I bought last year has developed some gorgeous pink pussy willow buds.. There are not that many but it is a win to see any and perhaps by next year it will have got a good root system going and be bigger and stronger. 
It is really chilly out with the wind but lovely to have the sunlight again. I cut a crop of willow stems and can only just get my hand around the bunch .. the most I have ever managed to cut in a season.. hurrah!
