Beauty is all around us.

My crochet hook case.

The Feast Day of Saint Walburga. She was born in 710 in Devonshire, England, the daughter of St. Richard, a West Saxon chief, and his wife. She is patron saint of storms, sailors, rabies, and protection of crops.

Her brothers Wilibald and Winibald were also saints. In response to a plea from St Boniface, Saint Walburga went to Germany in around 748 where she became Abbess of the monastery and the convent at Heidenheim. Saint Walburga was trained in medicine and wrote in Latin, the lives of her brothers. She died in 777 in Heidenheim.

The blip shows my crochet case. During cold weather I enjoy crocheting.

Today we have been blessed with a variety of weathers, including sun and heavy rain showers. The temperature at 10:10am was 5c but felt like 0c.

I went to the Parish Church foodbank to give a few items. I walked home while the weather was dry, thankfully.

The cats, Holly and Hunter, have been playing in the garden.

Paul has shampooed the conservatory carpet. The Vax machine does a good job but it is very noisy.

The buds on the front garden Cherry tree are looking good.

I have done some washing and now I am watching a film made in 1955 called "Make me an Offer". It's about a man's interest in English pottery.

I hope you enjoy a happy day blip friends and thank you for the stars yesterday.
