Siberian Squill
I love a blue spring flower and the tiny squills are starting to look good. The effort of autumn planting is starting to bear fruit now. Well, bear flowers anyway.
Last night's wassail was excellent. I suppose there were a couple of dozen people who joined in. We met at sunset and sang a few songs*. We were led by a neighbour who has a lovely, strong singing voice and a few of her singing group who kept us all in tune. The people who look after the community orchard had strung up some lights and lit lanterns so as darkness fell there was a magical atmosphere. A successful first local wassail and I hope the trees took note.
Today all five of us were on the Tuesday zoom which was good. Then I had a brisk walk with my walking neighbour. Cameraman is picking our grandson up from school so I'm having a domestic day before I join my old yoga class for the second Tuesday in a row.
* All things come and go, summer sun and winter snow
Blow wind, fall rain, all things die and live again
