Paddington Bear

Before I met the U3A group (see Monday's post) I had a bimble round Norwich Cathedral Close.  It is one of the more upmarket areas of the city but I came across this little fella sitting on bench eating his marmalade sandwich. The recent Paddington films have passed me by but I was taken with the detail in the sculpture and even as a statue, he still appeared to be very lifelike. Ironically, opposite the bench was a "unit"selling hot drinks and sandwiches. Unfortunately for Paddington, they were of the bacon and sausage variety!
