MJ Tribute

And SweetArt beat us all with the date first thing in the morning!

G dropped me off at work, and I wasn't long in before the fire alarm went off. It happened when we were having a team discussion about a BBQ tomorrow. We decided we should follow the messages (they were VERY LOUD) and walked down the six flights of stairs to the Ground only to see people from the other buildings doing the same. It was a drill. Argh!

Fortunately, the day was very cool and overcast, so it wasn't a problem at all standing outside waiting for the fire marshalls to report the figures of everyone from their office. It looked like our office hadn't nominated anyone yet.

We went back up, and the rest of the day went well. I joined a colleague on her daily walk around the area, and we found out where the nearest minimart is. G picked me up after she'd been to a 4get-me-not morning at the beach. They were having a pre-Ramadan brunch outdoors. She said the wind coming off the sea was really cold, so when she agreed to a Global Village trip in the evening, she made sure she had her fleece with her.

I was slightly unprepared and wish I had a thicker fleece! We went to see the Michael Jackson impersonator. The performer himself was OK and did the iconic MJ dance moves well but the sound was terrible (loud to the point of breaking). We left straight after the show battling far less traffic than we had to get there.
