This is the plant that thought it would just grow leaves . . . until it realised it was supposed to be flowering!

Now it has four flower heads and another one ready to open - just amazing. Now I wouldn’t normally go for anything so bright, so brash, so ‘in your face’ - anyone who has seen my textile work would know that . . .

but . . .

. . . at this time of year (supposed to be Christmas, but maybe it just didn’t get the message) it is an absolute wonder and I love it.
