Winter Blues

Here’s a bluejay eyeing peanuts just scattered underneath the lilac trees. Within seconds one was secured in his beak before he flew away. The bluebirds quickly returned to munch dried mealworms • Above freezing temperatures allowed us to shovel the snow received over a week ago. Good to get that done, with another round planned for tomorrow • I spent some time writing letters to our two Senators and Representative. It’s challenging to condense my main concerns because the list is long but keeping it to current events seems the best approach. How effective it is remains to be seen but I must do something • Rain on the way with a changeover to snow. Yuck! • Peace & Love
