Cairn details
It was another beautiful day. Tim had a walk to the seafront this morning (and dropped in to our neighbours on the way to help them with a couple of IT-related things, bless him). I had a couple of meetings, morning and afternoon, but I managed to make the most of the sunshine by eating my lunch in the front garden (Tim joined me with a fancy coffee), and by going for a walk in the Cairn late afternoon. I was in the mood for spotting all the little details (aided/inspired by my having my 35mm lens on my camera, I think), and could see so many - interesting fungi all over the place, thousands of bluebell leaves sprouting up, bits of path that had been uncovered by the recent heavy rain, a miniature gnome hidden in the base of a tree, and a lot of lichen and dead ferns. (To name a few!)
I came home and worked for another hour or so, then Tim cooked us a delicious bobotie for dinner.
Nearly forgot to add... I had an email from the local councillor today, letting me know that the leat (stream) at Bicclescombe Park had become blocked and they had now sorted it out and it was refilling. Phew, glad I made that phone call yesterday!
