It is our lovely independent cinema’s 30th birthday, but no cake seemed to be on offer! We went to see ‘I’m still here’, a rather harrowing film based on the true story of an ex-congressman in Rio during the military dictatorship of the 1970s who was arrested and never seen again. It’s a moving story of a family coping with the loss of someone who just ‘disappears’.Well worth watching. Maybe it will get an Oscar, it should!
