Killing time in Dunfermline while on taxi duty this afternoon I found a path which I didn't realise existed. Although only just over a mile in length now, this used to be the route of the Townhill Waggonway, which opened in 1841 to provide a means to transport coal from Townhill colliery to the port at Inverkeithing, via the Halbeath Railway.
