An ordinary life....

Wishes do come true...

Up, showered and dressed by 8am as had to contact the Health Centre to arrange for the nurse to check my incision.

Saw her just after 9.30am.  Incision healing well, just a small bit at the right hand side is a little weepy so extra three days antibiotics and a tiny dressing containing silver to help it dry up and heal.

Since we were out anyway, we came home via the golf club and had breakfast.  Lovely black pudding roll and a never ending pot of tea. I couldn't believe as I sat there looking out at the sunshine and lovely golf course that exactly a week ago at that moment, I was on the operating theatre table!

Back home and a very pleasant afternoon working on Orla's jungle animal crochet bunting.  Now I am getting to the end I am enjoying it more.  I was having a messenger conversation with Nikki about it when D asked me if I wanted a cuppa.  We were just debating how we fancied something nice to have with it but didn't know what, when the doorbell rang and it was a gift from Andrew and Nikki....a Cornish Afternoon Cream Tea!  What timing!!!  Perfect!  And I was able to thank Nikki there and then!  :-))

Finished the bunting as far as I can.  Spray starch and fabric glue arriving tomorrow so I should have it all done by the weekend.  Decided to listen to some music so headphones on, head back, eyes closed and enjoyed for about an hour.  Unfortunately I forgot I was wearing headphones and D was able to tell me I had entertained the house with my unaccompanied singing!  Hahahahahaha!  Lucky them!

Decided to do some online  retail therapy and set out to look for a new jacket for spring.  I've ordered two from Seasalt but think I know which one I will be keeping.  Also ordered yarn to make a sofa / bed throw for our niece Jen's new flat.  It's very chunky yarn and a size 15 hook so it crochets up very quickly.  I wanted a sort of Scandinavian feel and I am going with this pattern with the main body of the blanket in Lion Brand Thick & Quick yarn (no sniggering!  :-) in Wheat, with the pom poms in Fisherman (cream)  It's a very easy pattern and I am looking forward to getting started on it.

Tired now and definitely time for bed.

Night night :-)
