Common goldeneye

Sunshine, +8 C for the temperature and an unexpected afternoon off!

We had plans to do the hair color relines at 2 drug stores today. The one this morning went well, we finished at 12:30. Then on to the second store, only to find out that they had did their own reline. I tidied the section, took my pictures, left a few notes for the manager, and had the rest of the afternoon free. This was the same store that could not find the kit when I was there helping with the nail color reline in January. I'm not sure if that store even has a manager that actually works there or if there is just an assistant manager. Because the store never notified us that they did their own reline, we still get paid for 3 hours plus I put in for an extra hour for the time spent in the store, entering the call here at home and ferrying one of the workers between stores.

I went for a drive around the Cow Bay loop to see what birds might be around. At one spot I found some common goldeneye shown in my blip, there were buffleheads there, as well as common eider and red breasted mergansers. There were a few gulls around, but they were too far away for me to ID them. I noted that the snow and ice on the boardwalk in Eastern Passage has melted, so I will be able to start walking there.

Two more days!
