The Sun Appeared

After a wild storm last night that involved a power outage at my house - the first since I moved here - the morning dawned cloudy with a few sprinkles. But by the time I met my friend Phil for our monthly walk at the Arboretum at 9 am, the errant raindrops had stopped, but it was still very windy. We had a blustery, fabulous walk and then went our separate ways, with a new date a month from now.

While I was waiting for Phil to arrive, this really cool moss caught my eye. I was thinking that it looked like frost on a window pane, with all those gorgeous feathery bits. Turns out it’s called Thuidium delicatulum, or Delicate Fern Moss. Cool, huh? The sun came out this afternoon - still cool and breezy. But the week ahead looks divine!
