Clouds and Wind
It rained buckets last night, so the ground was muddy and waterlogged when B and I went for our walk today. But at least we didnt get wet from above.
This is a part of our usual walk in the vineyards and fields; looking southwards across the river Rhine (which you can't see in this) towards the suburbs of our neighbour city Mainz.
It looks a bit as if the high-rise buildings in the background on the left have wind turbines sticking out of their roofs. But of course, these turbines are many kilometres further away, and huge. The biggest ones measure about 250m to the top of the rotor, and each produces over 6 megawatts - that's enough electricity for about 3.500 households. (For the other nerds out there: The information comes from this website, where you can look up every wind turbine in Germany.)
