Secret Calls

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

I returned a missed call from Mary Doll this afternoon.

Mary Doll requested (in a quiet voice) that I call back at 8 pm and when I asked “why?”, she explained that she wanted to have a conversation that “only the two of us can hear”. Like it was a secret operation.

Except with parents who are getting older (and have current health issues) this meant an unsettled few hours before I called back at my allocated time slot.

“It’s nothing important,” she said as she picked up.

And it wasn’t! It was to get my opinion on whether or not Victor needed a letter from the DVLA as they had “disagreed, not argued” about it earlier!

The drama!

There was much swearing in my head but thankfully I refrained from saying “I couldn’t give a f…” out loud!
