NO STICKER - BUT LOTS OF HEARTS...
...for Mr. HCB for being a “big, brave boy” when he had his stitches out today - all 11 of them!
It took two nurses over half an hour to get the stitches out in Mr. HCB’s head, but he never flinched and I’m not sure the nurses believed him when he said he didn’t feel a thing!
He has an antibacterial strip on the wound and then a plaster on top, but unfortunately, still won’t be able to wash his hair, which he is itching to do. Then he has to go back next week to have it checked to make sure it is healing well.
Mr. HCB was looking forward to getting the stitches out so that he could go out and work in the greenhouse, as he says there is a lot to do, but I said I didn’t think he should work out there at the moment, and the nurse agreed. He looked as if he might have a little “strop” about that, but realises that it’s for the best at the moment.
I spared you the gory bits - and he is smiling at the end of it all! The nurse said she didn’t have any stickers, so as I had written on lots of my little wooden hearts and they were on the table waiting to be put away, I made a large heart out of all 246 of them - and then took a shot - so this is for Mr. HCB. You did good - and I thought you were a big brave boy even if you didn't get a sticker! M xx
P.S. I was very brave watching too, but not as brave as he was!
