Rainbow Day
Today I'd intended to go into town. My meds are ready to be collected from Boots and I fancy a mooch around. The weather put me off though. It was raining when I got up and the forecast implied that it would continue on and off all day.
So I decided town can wait until tomorrow. Brian and I cracked on with cleaning the house downstairs between us instead. It needed doing, and looks much better now.
This afternoon we decided to brave driving to Carholme Road and going for a walk along the Fossdyke Canal. (Built by Romans to join Lincoln to Nottingham via the river Trent)
It was an enjoyable walk and we took a few shots. Soon though, we saw some very dark clouds heading our way, so we started walking back to the car. Too late to prevent us from being rained on, but in perfect time to see the most amazing rainbow when we got back to the Grandstand where we had parked.
It's the first time I've ever seen a full end to end rainbow. It was a double, though the camera on my phone didn't do it justice. There's an extra of part of the rainbow and the cathedral.
