Flyover

I had been watching one hawk on a pole and took a couple of shots when he flew off - when I turned around he had been replaced by this hawk, who only sat for a few moments before flying off with what looked like (and what I hope was) a clump of dirt. I can think of several reasons why he'd have a clump of dirt.
Well, okay, not really, but I prefer not to think about the circle of life more than I have to.
