Brassington village rooftops as we sat and ate our lunch today. I often drive through Brassington but don't think I've ever seen the village from on high before.
The Peak District was looking beautiful (see extra) with the first signs of leaves on the trees and blackthorn blossom showing.
We'd expected some rain but didn't get any until after lunch, and then only a couple of quick showers. Amazingly there were 22 people on the walk, so a bit of a wait at the many squeeze stiles. Good job nobody was overweight.
Quite a bit of ascent and I was slow, oh my goodness I'm not the woman I was 10 years ago... but then I suppose nobody is the person they were 10 years ago. Also my toes were hurting after about mile 6.
