Lots of interest
There are many interesting buildings in Edinburgh, so for today’s Wide Wednesday challenge, with only a short lunch break, I went up Calton Hill and took a view showing a selection!
The brightly coloured orange building in the foreground is Rock House, built in the 1750s and was once the home of the pioneering photographer David Octavius Hill.
Other prominent landmarks are St Giles Cathedral, The Hub (home of Edinburgh International Festival), Edinburgh Castle, Balmoral Hotel (formerly the North British) clock tower and the Scott Monument.
