Goldeneye ( Bucephala clangula )

Clickychick's conference didn't start until after lunch so we had a wander round the town and coffee in Betty's.  Then we wandered on and had lunch, after lunch CC went to her conference and I headed out to the Staveley YWT reserve.

The reserve was quiet I had all the hides to myself.  Well apart from the man who came into the main hide as I was packing to leave.  After a quick word about what was about as is common with birdwatchers his parting words as I left were "I'll take over the shift".  I intended to spend time watching the owls again.  Unfortunately they weren't being cooperative and so didn't show.
